Zach Braff and Donald Faison Take Their Guy Love to the Big Screen in New 'Wish I Was Here' Clip

After nine seasons playing best friends on TV’s Scrubs, Zach Braff and Donald Faison are bringing their real-life bromance to the big screen, as seen in this clip from Braff’s latest directorial effort, Wish I Was Here.

In the Kickstarter-funded film, Braff plays Aidan, an out-of-work actor and married father of two struggling with the responsibilities of adulthood. Aidan juggles being a pal to his kids — played by Braff’s Oz the Great and Powerful co-star Joey King and Looper's Pierce Gagnon — with the burden put on his family by his ill father (Mandy Patinkin).

Having formed a close on-set relationship, Braff and Faison remained good buddies after the sitcom went off the air in 2010. Braff made a guest appearance on Faison’s TV Land comedy The Exes in 2012 — and even crashed Faison’s Reddit AMA session in January (sharing details about his pal’s anatomy and fondness for certain herbal remedies). Faison told the press that their onscreen chemistry is fed by their off-screen relationship: “Zach and I have the same sense of humor. It’s easy to make each other laugh, and I can tell where Zach is going with something before he gets there.”
