‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Final Trailer Teases The Return Of Wolverine

The final trailer for 20th Century Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse is bringing out the big claws, teasing the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and introducing what appears to be the most formidable adversary to date.

“Just because there’s not a war doesn’t mean there’s peace. He’s coming” warns Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) on the impending arrival of Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe. After being dormant thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants (the Four Horsemen), including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order. Mystique, with the help of her childhood friend Professor X (James McAvoy), lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest opponent and save mankind from complete destruction.

Nicholas Hoult returns as Beast and Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, along with Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn and Lucas Till. Bryan Singer directed from a script by Simon Winberg, who also produced with Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker.

X-Men: Apocalypse arrives in theaters May 27.
