The WGA - or more precisely, the two Writers Guilds of America, West and East, that bargain jointly - have named the members of the negotiating committee for their upcoming contract negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the guilds announced Thursday. WGAW executive director David Young will serve as chief negotiator.

The current agreement expires May 1, 2017. No date has been set for the talks, but a late March or early April start seems likely. The DGA's talks begin Monday, Dec. 5, with a February start likely for SAG-AFTRA. The latter two unions' contracts expire June 30.
