Muppet Myths or Facts?

When you’re as world-famous as the Muppets, the celebrity gossip can fly pretty fast and pretty furiously.

So while they promoted their hilarious new adventure “Muppets Most Wanted,” what we wanted to know most was which Muppet myths were true, and which were falser than Waldorf and Statler’s teeth.

Among the topics explored in the video above with the very game Kermit, Miss Piggy, Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, Ricky Gervais, and Constantine (Kermit’s evil Russian double):

Kermit is dead. “Kermit is alive and well,” Miss Piggy assures us, unprompted. Yes, thank you, Piggy, we can see him right before our eyes.

Miss Piggy is from Iowa. “I don’t like to talk much about [it],” Piggy tells us. “It’s just a testament to how far I’ve come.” Hey, what’s wrong with Iowa?

Kermit is Irish. “No, he is from swamp in Mississippi, I believe,” says smart aleck Constantine, he himself from swamp in Russia.

Gonzo is a turkey. Or a chicken. Someone just please tell us, what in the world is Gonzo?!! Afraid we still don’t have a concrete answer.

Miss Piggy is dating Tom Hiddleston. “Well, how do you think he got in the movie?” Ty Burrell asks about one of the movie’s many celebrity cameos. But that’s not the only fan-adored actor she’s dating.

Zach Galifianakis has taken his role as Hobo Joe in the “Muppets” movies so seriously that he’s given up all his possessions and now lives in a bus station. Undoubtedly true.

Make sure to watch the video until the very end to bear witness to an epic Muppet blooper. You don’t see those see everyday. Kind of like Gonzos.
