What to Stream: Celebrate the NFL's Return to L.A. With This Warren Beatty Classic

In honor of the NFL’s announcement that the St. Louis Rams are heading back to Los Angeles, we’re going to recommend the greatest L.A. Rams film of all time for you to stream this weekend. And while it happens to be the only L.A. Rams film of all time as well, lucky for us, it just so happens to be a great film as well.

In Heaven Can Wait, Warren Beatty plays a quarterback for the Rams on his way to the Superbowl but dies in a road accident on his bicycle. It turns out Beatty was not supposed to die, so his soul is given some extra time in the body of a wealthy industrialist. The farce continues as Beatty decides to try out again for the Rams in his new body.

This absurd idea would have probably made for a terrible film had it not been for the amazing work by comedy legend Elaine May. She collaborated with Beatty on the screenplay and added loads of her signature humorous moments.

Heaven can Wait is available to rent or own on all major services.

You can also stream these Golden Globe nominees that you’ve probably never heard of.
