Here's Gum in Your Eye! Watch Brad Pitt and Zach Galifianakis on 'Between Two Ferns'
After reaching the great heights of interviewing President Barack Obama, Zach Galifianakis is back to slumming it with “dumb actors.” First up on Between Two Ferns' slide down the slope of celebrity: Brad Pitt, or, as Galifianakis refers to him, “Hitler’s Dream.”
The Fury star sat down with Galifianakis for a typically awkward interview, including a question that managed the amazing feat of referencing both Pitt’s current wife, Angelina Jolie, and his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston. “Tell me what it was like the first time you laid eyes on Angelina. Was it like one of those classical love stories like when Ross first saw Rachel? You know that show Friends?” asked Galifianakis as Pitt sighed heavily. Galifianakis then played the Friends' theme song just in case Pitt needed a memory jog.
An impromptu appearance from Louis CK didn’t do much to help the situation. Neither did the roving wad of gum that somehow went from Pitt’s mouth to Galifiankis’ mouth to Pitt’s again, right before the hapless host’s final question: “Do you think people focus too much on your looks and don’t even realize that you’re just a s---ty actor.” Pitt then figured out exactly what to do with his gum.
