Watch Two Clips From 'Merry Friggin' Christmas,' One of Robin Williams's Last Movies

Robin Williams, who died tragically on Aug. 11, left behind several upcoming films, including Merry Friggin’ Christmas, due out Nov. 7. Two clips from the holiday comedy recently landed online.

Williams stars as a grizzled patriarch who is hosting his son Boyd (Joel McHale) and his family for Christmas. When Boyd realizes he's left all his own son’s gifts at home, he and his father head out for an eight-hour, round-trip drive in a mad dash to make it back before sunrise.

In the first clip, Williams suggests that his grandson leave Santa a big bottle of bourbon instead of milk and cookies, a somewhat unsettling scene given the actor’s public battles with addiction.

According to a TMZ report, the film’s producers actually discussed cutting a different scene, which reveals that Williams’ character is an alcoholic who’s been sober for six years. The site reported that the moment will remain in the movie, although an “in memoriam” frame of the star will be added to the end.

The second clip shows McHale during dinner as he realizes it’s not chicken that his pop has served for dinner.

Another Robin Williams movie will also premiere this year: The December 19 sequel Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb in which he reprises his role as Teddy Roosevelt.
