Watch the Deleted Final Scene from 'Far From the Madding Crowd'

Warning: This entire post, video included, is one huge spoiler.

The swoon-inducing Far From the Madding Crowd, an adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s classic 1874 novel, was one of the surprise hits of the summer, receiving strong reviews and grossing nearly $30 million around the globe. But fans of Hardy’s romantic epic surely noticed that the book’s original ending — in which headstrong beauty Bathsheba Everdene (Carey Mulligan) weds suitor Gabriel Oak (Matthias Schoenaerts) — was missing from the film.

Now, in this exclusive clip — which you can watch above — you can see the famed Madding finale, which was cut from the film’s theatrical release. The wedding sequence is just one of the many extras available on the Far From the Madding Crowd DVD and Blu-ray, which will be released Tuesday.
