Watch Mark Ruffalo in a Deleted 'Foxcatcher' Scene (Exclusive)

Mark Ruffalo earned an Oscar nomination for Foxcatcher, but there was even more to his incredible performance that didn’t make the final cut. This deleted scene from Bennett Miller’s film offers a deeper look into Ruffalo’s portrayal of affable family man and wrestling coach Dave Schultz.

In the scene, Dave has just settled in at his house on Foxcatcher Farms with his family. He is on a conference call with board members from USA wrestling, assuring them that “It’s going to be OK” in spite of their concern over the noticeably peculiar owner of the estate, John du Pont (played by Steve Carell).

The honchos clearly believe in Olympic champ Schultz, the brother of fellow gold medalist Mark (Channing Tatum). But once the call is over, Dave second-guesses his stance, wearing a look of unease.

If only he had listened to his gut.

Foxcatcher is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD starting Tuesday.
