Watch Marion Cotillard Fight for Her Job in Exclusive 'Two Days, One Night' Clip

Starring Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, the Belgian film Two Days, One Night is a critical darling across the globe, scooping up a BAFTA nomination for Best Foreign Film and considered a shoo-in for an Academy Award nod.

In the film, Cotillard (Inception, La Vie en Rose) plays a mother who finds her job in jeopardy after taking a leave of absence. Her colleagues stand to collect sizable bonuses if they agree to have her position eliminated. She has only one weekend to change their minds.

In the exclusive clip above, Cotillard is seen convincing one of her coworkers to change his vote.

None of this would work if Cotillard’s performance weren’t so forthright and deeply felt,” wrote Peter Rainer of the Christian Science Monitor. Bob Mondello of NPR called the film a “slice of pressurized middle-class life … so real, it feels a bit like a documentary.”

Two Days, One Night, written and directed by the Dardenne Brothers (The Kid With a Bike), is in select theaters now and will continue to expand in the coming weeks.
