Watch Hugh Jackman and Luke Evans Try to Out-Gaston Each Other
There are many pleasures to be had in 1991′s animated masterpiece Beauty and the Beast, but chief among them has to be the brawny, bragging gasbag Gaston. Not only is he one of Disney’s most delicious villains — he’s also got a boozy, beer-hall theme song for the ages. This weekend, Brit talk show host Jonathan Ross challenged guests Luke Evans and Hugh Jackman to sing “Gaston” for the crowd and prove once and for all who was the manliest among us. (Watch the video above.) Evans, of course, will play the raging narcissist in the upcoming live-action version of Beast due to hit theaters next year. Jackman meanwhile, has more than proven his chops for Broadway-style belting. The real surprise though, was fellow guest and Kingsman star Taron Egerton, who showed off a surprising set of pipes. Get this man a musical! If that whole young Han Solo thing doesn’t pan out, of course.
