'House of Cards' Season 4 Trailer Promises Big Underwood Drama

Those hoping for calmer waters in Frank and Claire Underwood’s relationship will be disappointed by Netflix’s House of Cards season four trailer, which shows the couple at odds — and teases a war between them like no other.

“You have no idea what it means to have nothing,” Kevin Spacey’s Frank says in a voiceover. “You don’t value what we have achieved. I have had to fight for everything my entire life.”

Along with their battle for power, the trailer also teases the addition of Ellen Burstyn to the cast, who can be seen briefly in the minute-long clip.

“I saw a future. Our future,” says Robin Wright’s Claire.

“We had a future until you started destroying it,” replies Frank.

New cast member Joel Kinnaman also appears in the trailer, and looks like he could be a rival for Frank, who already has enough on his plate. It also gives a glimpse at Neve Campbell’s character.

Returning players include congresswoman Jackie Sharp (Molly Parker) and Remy Danton (Mahershala Ali), who seem to be taking on some more drama, along with Russian president Viktor Petrov (Lars Mikkelsen).

Netflix has already renewed House of Cards for season five. However, creator Beau Willimon will not be returning for the next season.
