Watch a Tribute to Master Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson
Paul Thomas Anderson’s seventh drama, Inherent Vice, is set to debut at the New York Film Festival next week and open theatrically in December, yet we still haven’t seen a trailer released for the film. Our friends at The Playlist, however, have unearthed a nice meaty tribute to PTA’s films in the interest of holding us all over.
Incorporating clips from all six of his acclaimed previous efforts (Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch-Drunk Love, There Will Be Blood and The Master), the mashup is artful, meditative, and at eight minutes, pretty long for a fan montage. In other words, Anderson fans should love it.
