Watch: A Pre-'Selena' Jennifer Lopez Reveals Her Sex Scene Secret

In The Boy Next Door, Jennifer Lopez has one of the steamiest love scenes of her career — and there have been quite a few. But when she first made the transition from small-screen dancer to movie actress, Lopez was so nervous about shooting sex scenes that she insisted on a very unusual prop.

In this interview from around 1996, a very young and eager twentysomething Jennifer Lopez tells The Insider about shooting her first “big, huge love scene.” (It was likely with Wesley Snipes in Money Train, because she mentions Woody Harrelson sneaking on set later.) The actress reveals that she called up a friend, actor Jacob Vargas (Sons of Anarchy), for advice, and he told her to “ask for the love pillow.” Never heard of a love pillow? Neither had anyone on set. Thankfully, a kind wardrobe lady agreed to help her out, creating custom-made buffers for Lopez to place between herself and the other actor. Lopez was probably never this candid in an interview again — so whether a “love pillow” was used with Ryan Guzman will remain a mystery for the ages.
