Watch a Motormouth Matt Damon Recap the 'Bourne' Series in 90 Seconds

After a nine-year layoff that saw his series turned over to another spy (that’d be Jeremy Renner’s The Bourne Legacy protagonist Aaron Cross), Matt Damon returns to theaters this Friday as his amnesiac assassin in the aptly titled Jason Bourne. And to remind viewers about who his forgetful hero is, the star has now delivered a 90-second refresher video on Bourne’s earlier escapades. (Watch it above.)

In a new featurette dubbed “Jason Bourne in 90 Seconds,” the Oscar-nominated actor provides a really, really fast recap of the first three Bourne outings: 2002’s The Bourne Identity, 2004’s The Bourne Supremacy, and 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum. As you might imagine, this montage flies by faster than most of the action sequences in these films, though it’s bolstered by an amusing Damon alternately describing his character — who does lots of running, jumping, shooting and looking angry — as “super pissed" and “wicked clever.”

While reviews of Damon and director Paul Greengrass’s return to the franchise have been so far mixed, Jason Bourne is set to be this weekend’s big release, delivering the sort of adrenalized in-your-face action that has made the series such an enduring fan favorite. You can check out Damon’s primer on his gritty spy above, and see Jason Bourne in theaters beginning July 29.
