Watch a Heartwarming New Scene From Pixar's 'The Good Dinosaur'
Disney-Pixar’s forthcoming animated feature The Good Dinosaur is the story of Arlo, a young Apatosaurus who eventually becomes estranged from his dino-dad. Before the two are separated, though, they explore the natural world — and as the exclusive clip above proves, their bond makes for moments both awe-inspiring and awwww-inspiring.
A big journey is in store for Arlo, but before his world expands, he’s a bit of a scaredypants, relying on his father get him through his fear — even as they take a nighttime stroll through a field. As dad swirls his tail, revealing an illuminated pasture of pre-historic fireflies, the knowledge of their impending separation becomes that much more heart-wrenching.

Later in the film, Arlo thankfully finds a friend — a little human named Spot — to help him through the tough times. Here’s hoping Arlo finds his pop in the end, when The Good Dinosaur enters theaters on Nov. 25.
