Warriors Take Flight in 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny' Trailer

It has a lot less Mandarin and a lot more Creedence Clearwater Revival than expected, but the new trailer for Netflix’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny should still excite fans of Ang Lee’s 2000 martial-arts blockbuster. Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as warrior Yu Shu-Lien, who is once again charged with protecting the legendary sword called the Green Destiny. Watch the trailer, featuring gravity-defying swordplay and a crazy techno remake of “Bad Moon Rising,” above.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny is set for release on Netflix and select IMAX theaters on Feb. 26. Directed by martial arts choreographer (Kill Bill: Vol 2) and director (Drunken Master) Yuen Wo-Ping, the movie is a sequel to Lee’s film, which won four Oscars and holds the record for the highest-grossing foreign language film in American history. Judging from Yeoh’s voiceover in the trailer, the sequel will be in English, not its original Mandarin — which is bound to be a controversial decision.
