Variety to Host Second Annual Big Data Summit
Variety will host its second annual Big Data Summit on Nov. 10 at the Montage Beverly Hills featuring keynote conversations with Randy Freer, president and COO, Fox Networks Group; Raghu Ramakrishnan, CTO, data and technical fellow, Microsoft; and James Taylor, chief revenue officer at Karma Automotive.
The one-day summit provides a thought-provoking forum for executives from Netflix, NFL, Levi Strauss, Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, the Bleacher Report, GroupM, BuzzFeed, and many more to explore how advancing data and analytics operations and technologies are transforming the entertainment industry.
In addition to the keynote headlines, industry leaders including Thomas Hughes, exec VP, worldwide digital, Lionsgate; Bill Stratton, head of data strategy and consumer analytics, Turner Broadcasting; Rahul Telang, professor, information management and systems, Carnegie Mellon University; Cynthia Frelund, analytics expert, NFL Media; Thomas Ciszek, head of research, Twitter; and other esteemed experts will delve into how content creators and distributors develop a new way to leverage big data to understand and connect with audiences.
Topics include reaching a global audience without borders with data application, how big data is changing the face of media, the fight for privacy and security in the digital age, and more.

Big Data Summit will also be hosting a dinner on Nov. 9 to be headlined by a keynote conversation with Jim Bell, executive producer, NBC Olympics.
