TV Ratings: 'How I Met Your Mother,' 'Carrie Diaries' Rise for Season Highs

How I Met Your Mother (4.0 adults) got a boost on Monday night, jumping three tenths of a point to a new season high in the key demo. Rules of Engagement (3.1 adults) returned to the schedule, giving CBS a time slot high for the season -- though it was off half of a point from its last premiere. 2 Broke Girls (3.6 adults) was off a tenth of a point from its last original, while Mike & Molly was even with a 3.1 in the demo. Hawaii Five-0 (2.3 adults) led the 10 p.m. hour, also even with its last Monday original. CBS averaged a 3.1 rating with 18-49-ers and 10.1 million viewers.

On Fox, Bones dropped three tenths of a point from the previous week, pulling a 2.3 rating with adults 18-49. The Following (2.9 adults), showing its first loss after rising in its second outing, was off four tenths of a point. The network averaged a 2.6 rating in the key demo and 8.9 million viewers.

ABC saw The Bachelor (2.4 adults) lose a tenth of a point from last week, while Castle (1.8 adults) dropped two tenths of a point from its last original two weeks ago. The network averaged a 2.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 8.1 million viewers.

The Biggest Loser (2.0 adults) was off three points from the previous Monday, while Deception (1.2 adults) stayed even. NBC averaged a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers.

The Carrie Diaries (0.7 adults) rose two tenths of a point for a series high on the CW, with 90210 (0.4 adults) even at 9 p.m. The network pulled a 0.5 demo rating and 1.2 million viewers over its two-hour block.

Univision averaged a 1.7 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.97 million viewers.
