Tom Holland Pokes Fun At Chris Hemsworth in New Behind-the-Scenes 'Spider-Man' Video

What with the long hours spent fighting villains, the constricting tights, and the constant bickering with teammates, it’s not easy being a Marvel superhero. Judging from a new Instagram video, however, Tom Holland is having a good time acclimating to his high-flying Spider-Man duties — all while, in typical wisecracking Peter Parker form, poking fun at a fellow Avenger.

@chrishemsworth and @bobbydazzler84 beat that!

The clip (watch it above) provides a quick glimpse at the training Holland’s doing to prepare for his role as everyone’s favorite web slinger in next summer’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, the feature-length follow-up to his cameo in this past summer’s Captain America: Civil War, which will officially integrate the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alongside his trainer, Holland shows off his deft ability to do an aerial flip and then land on one foot. It’s an impressive feat he tops off with an on-the-ground spin and a shout-out to Chris Hemsworth, in a cheeky callback to this:

Holland’s social-media sneak peeks at his work on the standalone Spidey film — including shots of him on set, with his cast mates, and at a local hospital where he surprised some young kids by showing up in costume — aim to build excitement for Spider-Man: Homecoming. We’ll see if it’s a superhero saga to (wait for it!) flip over when it arrives in theaters on July 7, 2017.
