'The Jungle Book' Clip Introduces Idris Elba's Shere Khan

The two-dimensional Shere Khan in Disney’s original Jungle Book animation was imposing. When you tack on a third dimension and pair that with advanced computer graphics and Idris Elba’s deep bravado, the homicidal Bengal tiger becomes all the more terrifying.

In a new clip for Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book, viewers are introduced to Shere Khan as he stalks around the watering hole, explaining his aversion to all things man, including the jungle’s resident “man-cub,” Mowgli.

Along with the clip, Disney has also created an immersive Tumblr page where fans can experience all things Jungle Book ahead of the film’s April 15 release.
