The Feathers Fly in New 'The Angry Birds Movie' Clip (Exclusive)
The star-studded animated The Angry Birds Movie promises to tell audiences exactly why the bristly birds from the popular video game franchise are so pissed off. In the exclusive clip above, we get a glimpse of the Birds’ origin story of sorts, as they figure out exactly how they’re going to strike back against the green piggies who’ve stolen their eggs. When faced with the swines’ high-walled fortress, what’s a birdie to do? Why, take to the sky of course. We see our avian hero Red (voiced by Jason Sudeikis) coach Matilda (Maya Rudolph) into the slingshot and over the wall, where — spoiler alert! — she totally shoots a fireball out of her butt.
The Angry Birds Movie hits theaters on May 20.
