‘Talking Saul’ To Follow ‘Better Call Saul’s Premiere And Season Finale On AMC
AMC has had success with its Talking Dead aftershow for its blockbuster The Walking Dead, and now it’s hoping for the same with Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul.
The network said today that it will air the live aftershow Talking Saul following Better Call Saul‘s Season 2 premiere on February 15 and season finale on April 18. Hosted by Talking Dead‘s Chris Hardwick– who also led the Breaking Bad aftershow Talking Bad — the hourlong talk show will feature series cast, producers, celebrity fans and more reacting to and discussing the twists and turns of Better Call Saul and taking questions and comments from viewers. Series creators and executive producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould and star Bob Odenkirk will appear as guests on the show’s debut episode.
Better Call Saul follows down-on-his-luck Jimmy McGill (Odenkirk) as he navigates the moral dilemmas of the legal world while trying to step out of his older brother’s shadow and make a name for himself. It debuted in February 2015 as the season’s No. 1 new series on cable among viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, and now ranks as third-highest-rated first season in cable history among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to AMC and Nielsen.
Talking Saul is produced by Embassy Row with executive producers Michael Davies, Hardwick, Jen Patton, Brandon Monk and Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Better Call Saul is executive produced by Gilligan and Peter Gould, Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein and Thomas Schnauz, with Gennifer Hutchison as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
