As Suicide Squad writer-director David Ayer recently pointed out, the good guys are kind of boring. In it, you can spot the whole Squad including Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Deadshot (Will Smith), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and of course the Joker (Jared Leto).
Dazed and Confused is finally getting its “spiritual sequel,” as writer-director Richard Linklater describes it to Yahoo Movies. More than 20 years after the release of his breakout film, set on a high school campus in the late ‘70s, the acclaimed filmmaker has recruited a new crop of young actors to portraying college life in 1980 in the forthcoming comedy Everybody Wants Some. You can watch the first trailer above, exclusively on Yahoo.
She’s tanned to a crisp and pumped with so much lip filler she can air kiss you from a mile away. Alexanya Atoz, played by an unrecognizable Kristen Wiig, is the new addition to Zoolander 2 that has everyone buzzing. (Check her out in the exclusive poster above.) While the details of her character aren’t yet completely clear, we do know she’s a style icon — perhaps in the vein of Donatella Versace — and she’s up to no good. Yes, this villainous fashionista appears involved in a wretched plot to kill the world’s most beautiful people. ...
Acting is not entirely unfamiliar to Rollins — who has stitched together a lengthy filmography of bit parts in larger movies — including Michael Mann’s Heat, David Lynch’s Lost Highway, and Bad Boys II. There was a time in the '90s when he seemed poised to fully shift from music to acting, though, Rollins revealed, there were setbacks. Rollins has also had a healthy number of leading roles in smaller indies, many of which have been horror films. In it, Rollins plays Jack, a centuries-old man in present day who is drawn into an escalating fight by local thugs.
In Gods of Egypt, Gerard Butler, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Brenton Thwaities battle inside the world of Egyptian mythology. (See Coster-Waldau in exclusive character poster above!) Bek (Thwaities), a mere mortal among deities, finds himself in an epic clash to save mankind and his true love from the cruel god of darkness Set (Butler). To save the corporeal world, Bek must travel through the afterlife and across the heavens, gaining help from the powerful Horus (Coster-Waldau) along the way.
Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, and Ryan Gosling — with those names getting top billing (in the exclusive poster above), you might think they’re the leads in a Legends of the Fall sequel. But no, the three heartthrob actors are seriously subverting their sex appeal in The Big Short, about a group of obscure finance guys who saw the credit and housing bubble collapse of the 2000s coming from miles away. Also starring Steve Carell and an ensemble that includes Oscar winners Marisa Tomei and Melissa Leo, the film marks a departure for director Adam McKay, best known for slapstick comedies Anchorman and Step Brothers. But, as McKay told Yahoo Movies in September, he geeked out on the material, based on the best-selling nonfiction book by Michael Lewis, who also wrote the true tale that became Sandra Bullock’s The Blind Side.
Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow tweeted the first of three new posters debuting, along with an announcement that a new trailer for the highly anticipated dino-sequel will drop on Monday. The first poster features park operations manager Claire Dearing (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) staring down a gargantuan, toothy mega-beast — most likely her lab’s genetically-modified hybrid dino.
Owen Wilson is going full action mode for the upcoming thriller No Escape. This marks the first action-genre film in 14 years for Wilson, who’s better known for zany comedies like Zoolander and Wedding Crashers.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are so bad they’re good in these exclusive Avengers: Age of Ultron character posters. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), who becomes the Scarlet Witch, appears in her new poster looking contemplative while flaunting her reality-warping superpowers. Meanwhile, her brother, Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), better known as Quicksilver, seems pretty intent on fulfilling his need for speed.
