Joni Mitchell Stopped Taylor Swift From Playing Her in a Biopic
Taylor Swift has dabbled in acting, with parts in films like The Giver and Valentine’s Day, but she’s still waiting for that breakout big-screen project. One thing is certain: That breakout will not come by playing Joni Mitchell. The legendary singer-songwriter told the UK’s Sunday Times (via NME) that she learned that Swift was tentatively cast to play her in an adaptation of Sheila Weller’s book Girls Like Us — and put the kibosh on it.
