Sutton Foster Joins Cast of Gilmore Girls

Sutton Foster is headed to Stars Hollow.

The actress, who formerly starred in ABC Family's Bunheads, just landed a role in the Gilmore Girls revival, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

While she may be playing a character that's new to the series, Foster, 40, won't be a complete stranger, as she worked with Amy Sherman-Palladino who created bother Gilmore Girls and Bunheads.

A revival of the series was confirmed in late January by Netflix, months after rumors began circulating that a reboot was potentially in the works.

So far, it seems almost all of the original cast mates – along with Foster's new character – will return to Stars Hollow for the four-episode comeback.

"We haven't even started shooting and I haven't even seen any of the scripts. So, all I can tell you is it is because of you, the devoted fans that I get to revisit this character and go back to this world," Lauren Graham told PEOPLE earlier this month. "And we are all so excited and so thankful."

Netflix has not released a premiere date for the show.
