Super 'Star Wars' Fan Simon Pegg on His 'Force Awakens' Cameo

As Simon Pegg once said, “I burn for Star Wars.” And he’s not the only one. Pegg — who returns as IMF agent Benji Dunn in Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation this weekend — recently talked to Yahoo Movies about his upcoming cameo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Pegg had a featured spot in some new behind-the-scenes footage from the movie that was shown at Comic-Con earlier in July, finally allowing him to “at least acknowledge that I’m in it.” He’s still under strict orders not to reveal any details about his character. But now that the floodgates are open, he has a few words for die-hard fans. He’s certainly not blind to the fact that the rest of the world is doing the ants-in-their-pants dance for the highly anticipated saga — but he thinks everyone should just chill. “It’s out in four months. People are so desperate to see it — it’s like another trailer is just going to be more footage that’s gonna kind of spoil it if you watch it,” he said. “I just wish people would hold tight and not worry so much about seeing it so quickly.” (The movie hits theaters Dec. 18.) You’re just saying that because you’ve already seen some space-y magic in person, Pegg!
