Nasty Gal Approved for Temporary Access to $20M Loan [WWD]
After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week, Nasty Gal - the e-tailer founded by #GirlBoss Sophia Amoruso - has been approved for temporary access to a $20 million loan it secured one year ago to continue operating its business. Last Friday, lender Hercules Technology Growth Inc. filed a motion against Nasty Gal in an effort to halt the retailer's emergency request to dip into the loan, alleging that the e-commerce site rejected offers for additional liquidity that would have prevented them from filing for bankruptcy. The company has access to the loan until next month, when a bankruptcy judge will rule on the petition.
