Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon Talk 'The Godfather 2' in an Exclusive Clip From 'The Trip to Italy'

Not since the 1981 classic My Dinner with Andre has a film so fully captured the rapturous possibilities of a fine meal with the right dining companion as did The Trip. The 2010 film depicted a road trip taken by British comic actors Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon (playing only-slightly fictionalized versions of themselves), travelling the north of England while sparring over which of their lives has brought them to a better place.

The journey’s real jousting, however, occurred over a series of dinners in which the two stars fought to outdo each other in brilliant impersonations of the giants of cinema, most notably Michael Caine and Sean Connery.

Coogan and Brydon are back (along with director Michael Winterbottom) to serve up a second helping of their pop culture-themed battles. The precisely named The Trip to Italy finds the pair impersonating-while-dining at some of the world’s greatest restaurants. Watch the clip above, available exclusively on Yahoo Movies, for a little taste of a what it’s like is to dine with these two endlessly hilarious wits, whether as themselves or whichever screen icon passes through their imaginations.

The Trip to Italy opens in theaters on August 15
