The “table read” teaser (watch it above) features director J.J. Abrams talking about the first reading featuring the movie’s main cast — a photo of which was released by Lucasfilm in April 2014 to tease the project. The director is also seen saying, “This was going to be the first gathering of the original cast [and] the new cast — this core group of people that were going to be part of making this movie, and we wanted to document it.”

He continued, “Just as a fan of Star Wars, to see them together was such a thrill.”

The teaser comes from the Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey documentary that will premiere at SXSW March 14 ahead of its release on the Digital HD/Blu-ray Combo Pack edition of Star Wars: The Force Awakens April 5. Watch it here:

The trailer for that release contains more glimpses from the documentary, and also a deleted scene likely to excite fans of the movie: Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) boarding the Millennium Falcon for the first time.
