1954 – Alfred Hitchcock’s “
Dial M for Murder” opened wide on this day. After the success of “House of Wax” (1953), Warner Brothers wanted the film shot in 3D, however only the premiere was shown in three dimensions. “M” was the first collaboration between Hitchcock and Grace Kelly, who would go on to star in two more Hitchcock films before turning her attention to full-time princess-ing.
