‘Jurassic Park’: Where Are They Now?
Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant)
Paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant was the main character in both “Jurassic Park” and “Jurassic Park III” (presumably taking a well-deserved break from dinosaurs in 1997’s “The Lost World”). Essentially a paleontological Indiana Jones, the fedora-wearing Grant was partly based on real-life Canadian paleontologist Dr. Philip Currie. Although nothing is confirmed, it’s a definite possibility that Neill will return as Grant in the upcoming “Jurassic Park IV.” Outside of the JP universe, the 65-year-old actor’s most recent high profile role was on the short lived J. J. Abrams TV series “Alcatraz” as FBI agent Emerson Hauser.
