Five Film Facts: 'The Vow'
Five Film Facts The Vow
There are a number of differences between the film and the story it's based on. For one, before the accident, the film couple work and live as artists; Tatum plays a musician and McAdams plays a sculptor. In real life, Krickitt was working as a sales rep for a sportswear company when she cold-called Kim regarding jackets for the university baseball team that he coached. There are other differences as well, but there are enough similarities to make it work. Kim recalls one particular scene, when Leo first learns about his wife's condition: "He went outside and slid down the side of a [vending] machine ... It's a really powerful moment in the movie. Well, ironically, once I discovered my wife didn't recognize me, I went outside the door and slid down the wall and buried my head between my legs. Things like that. The gravity of a lot of the scenes. It actually made me cry! I was really happy with it."
