Angelina Jolie has an uncanny knack for bending movies into submission. Just as "Salt" became her star vehicle in 2010—in spite of the fact that it was written for a male lead and was originally set to star Tom Cruise—Jolie plays the title role as the villainess in Disney's live-action "Maleficent."
Based on "Sleeping Beauty," this film inverts the classic fairy tale by focusing on the story of Maleficent and why she is driven to curse a princess.
