Simon Pegg Is a High-Altitude Annoyance in Exclusive Clip From 'Hector and the Search for Happiness'

The international bestselling novel Hector and the Search for Happiness — which tells the story of a quirky psychiatrist who embarks on a global journey — has been turned into a big-screen comedy starring Simon Pegg (who plays Scotty in the recent Star Trek reboots).

In this clip, which you’ll see first on Yahoo Movies, Pegg (as the titular world traveler) interrupts the sleep of his sleepy seatmate, Edward (Good Will Hunting's Stellan Skarsgård), in his search for a writing instrument hidden away in his multi-pocketed jacket. A clearly fed-up Edward offers his own pen, telling Hector, “Give it back. Cost more than your car.” Hector continues his fussing-while-flying, mishandling a supposedly unbreakable glass, before shattering a less-sturdy plate.

So it’s clear that Edward is very wealthy. But you’ll have to watch the whole movie to see why he’s not just a grumpy guy with a pricey pen.

Also starring Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) as Hector’s girlfriend, Hector and the Search for Happiness lands in theaters on Friday, Sept. 19.
