Shaun Weiss, the actor who played goalie Golderg in the popular 90s Disney movie “The Mighty Ducks,” was arrested early Saturday for alleged public intoxication in Northern California.

TMZ first reported the arrest, which was confirmed Monday by the Oroville Police Department. OPD shared Weiss’ mugshot in a Facebook post confirming the arrest, and it is shocking.

Weiss is 39 years old. Here’s a picture of him on set as a teenager from his Mighty Ducks days.

Police reported that Weiss was arrested for being under the influence of drugs and that officials were not pursuing criminal proceedings beyond his intoxication arrest.

From the Oroville Police Department statement:

On August 4th, at 12:47am, officers contacted Shaun Weiss near a business located on the 1700 block of Oro Dam Blvd. Weiss was arrested for being under the influence of drugs. He was transported and booked into the Butte County Jail. He was arrested for intoxication only and no further criminal proceedings are desired at this time.

Shaun Weiss found ‘behaving erratically’ with flashlight

People magazine reports that Weiss was with a group of people “behaving erratically with flashlights” near a closed business complex in Oroville and arrested on suspicion of being under the influence. He was reportedly walking around shining a flashlight into his own face.

Oroville police Lt. Chris Nicodemus told People that Weiss was determined to be high on drugs, though a blood sample was not taken to determine the substance. Weiss was held until he sobered up and released without charges, according to the report.

Weiss has history of drug arrests

This is not the first arrest for Weiss. The child star was sentenced to 90 days in jail in 2017 after an arrest for methamphetamine possession. People reported that Weiss was allegedly seen stumbling around a property near Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, Calif. for that incident.

That arrest occurred just days after he was released from a jail sentence for stealing $151 worth of merchandise from a Fry’s electronics store. He was sentenced to 150 days in Los Angeles County jail before being released due to overcrowding.

Weiss has made multiple TV and movie appearances, including “Freaks and Geeks” and “Boy Meets World,” but is best known for his role in “The Mighty Ducks” series.
