Watch Jeff Bridges Go Medieval in New Trailer for 'Seventh Son'

Three years and five release dates later, the fantasy YA adaptation Seventh Son is finally headed to theaters.

Based on wrier Joseph Delaney’s best-selling Wardstone Chronicles series, the Sergei Bobrov-directed film looks like a gigantic collection of medieval tropes and fantasy standards, with dragons and handsome chosen warriors and an evil queen all swirled into a would-be franchise-starter. This new trailer looks pretty confusing, but it does have two things going for it: Reunited Big Lebowski stars Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges, the latter of whom is once again employing the “wise old man accent” he utilized in The Giver.

Produced by Legendary Pictures — the company behind such hits as The Dark Knight and The HangoverSeventh Son wound up being tied up in the editing room, and the film’s release was only delayed further by Legendary’s move from Warner Bros. to Universal. Seventh Son finally hits theaters on February 16.
