See William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy Make Their On-Screen Debut on 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E'

Before William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy teamed up to traverse the greater expanses of outer space, they were adversaries on an early episode of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. This exclusive clip above from The Man From U.N.C.L.E.: The Complete First Season (DVD available now) features the Star Trek actors in their first-ever on-screen appearance. The two guest-starred on an early episode of the mid-‘60s TV series, which famously spoofed the spy genre, and clearly got a jump start on their small-screen chemistry. Aside from the clip’s historical value, Nimoy’s eastern European accent (is he a vampire?) definitely makes this one worth a watch.

(Disclaimer: Guy Ritchie’s upcoming big-screen version — starring Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, and Alicia Vikander — does not include any Star Trek thespians. Though maybe we’ll see Patrick Stewart checking it out at the Grove?)
