See Anna Kendrick and the Bellas Get Big-Time Dissed in 'Pitch Perfect 2' Clip (Exclusive)
Attention, Pitch Perfect fans: You’ll be happy to know that the trash-talking that got audiences laughing in the 2012 original is still going strong in Pitch Perfect 2.
The clip above, exclusively on Yahoo Movies, shows the Barden Bellas getting some pre-competition shade from a German team. Yes, this time Beca (Anna Kendrick), Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), Chloe (Brittany Snow), and the rest of the Bellas are poised to rep the U.S. in an international sing-off.
As producer Elizabeth Banks told a crowd at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Monday, the upcoming sequel will not stray from its winning formula. There will be more a cappella battles, aka riff-offs, more cups as instruments, and, of course, more Fat Amy. “I encourage all of you to stand up and dance and to sing along,” Banks told the crowd just before the film played.
Beca, bless her heart, can only think of nice things to say as a retort. Good thing she has the quick-witted, no-nonsense Inflexible Tina, er, Fat Amy as backup.
Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters May 15.
