Every Movie Ad From Super Bowl XLVIII

Which is the match-up was the real big draw on Super Bowl Sunday: Broncos vs. Seahawks or Autobots vs. Decepticons? Or maybe Spider-Man vs. Electro? Or Captain America vs. the Winter Soldier?

The big game brings with it big commercials, including new looks at some of the most anticipated films of the spring and summer. Here’s a full breakdown of all the movie spots that airing before, during, and after the game.

Transformers: Age of Extinction' (June 27, Paramount)

Shia LaBeouf is out, Mark Wahlberg is in, but all anyone really cares about is the first big-screen appearance of the Dinobots, the robotic dinosaurs that were a fan favorite on the ’80s cartoon. The returning Autobots and Decepticons have all received upgrades, including Optimus Prime (who actually gets to ride Grimlock the T-Rex Dinobot). And director Michael Bay looks to be bringing his trademark brand of mayhem (or is it “Bay-hem”?) for the fourth time.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier' (Apr. 4, Disney)

The next giant flick from Marvel Studios see Cap (Chris Evans) dealing with the modern world as a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. But are the people he’s working for more dangerous than the enemies he’s fighting against? Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson reprise their roles as Black Widow and Nick Fury, with new cast additions Anthony Mackie and Robert Redford.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2' (May 2, Sony)

The spot for the next Spidey movie was so big they had to split it into two parts: one that went online before the game, and one that aired after. The new one resolved the cliffhanger of “Will Spider-Man catch the falling Gwen Stacy?” (SPOILER: He does.) Plus, it showed off more action with the villains Electro, the Rhino, and Green Goblin, along with a tease for the extended trailer that went out after the spot aired.

Muppets Most Wanted' (Mar. 21, Disney)

Kermit and the gang are back, with the same director, screenwriter, and Oscar-winning songwriter from their 2011 big-screen return. This time they’re joined by humans Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, and Ricky Gervais (who may, in fact, be at least a quarter Muppet). And naturally there will be a plethora of celebrity cameos. This spot is an extended version of the one that aired during the pre-show.

Need For Speed' (Mar. 14, DreamWorks)

Aaron Paul takes his first leap to the big screen from his Emmy-winning role on “Breaking Bad” in this racing flick based on the best-selling video game series. The cast also features Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Michael Keaton, and Kid Cudi, but the real stars are the muscle cars, with the stunts predominantly shot live without digital effects.

Noah' (Mar. 28, Paramount)

Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe is back in another sweeping historical epic (and this time you don’t have to listen to him sing). He’s joined by his “A Beautiful Mind” co-star Jennifer Connelly, so in addition to all the animals they’ll be bringing their Oscars two-by-two as well. Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Ray Winstone and Anthony Hopkins round out the cast.

Draft Day' (Apr. 11, Lionsgate/Summit)

Of course, a movie about football deserves a spot during the big game. And this Kevin Costner-lead comic drama has the distinction of being made with the cooperation of NFL.

3 Days to Kill' (Feb. 21, Relativity)

Comeback kid Kevin Costner will make an encore appearance during the post-game show with this spot for his spy thriller from director McG. But you can catch the action now.
