‘Search Party’ Red-Band Trailer: Extra-High Wedding Hijinks (NSFW)

This May, south of the border mayhem doesn’t get any wilder, or raunchier, than it does in Search Party, Focus World’s new comedy starring New Girl’s Adam Pally and Silicon Valley’s Thomas Middleditch and T.J. Miller. Taking its cues from The Hangover series — director Scot Armstrong actually co-wrote The Hangover Part II, as well as Road Trip — this ribald and ridiculous adventure follows two friends (Pally and Miller) who ruin the wedding of their compadre (Middleditch), and then must go to Mexico to find him after he gets lost on his way to winning back his fiancée.
As seen in this exclusive new red-band trailer above, what ensues is mayhem of a truly mad sort, replete with shootouts, car chases, explosions, nude desert romps, kidney thieves, and one gonzo drug dealer licking cocaine off of Middleditch’s face. In other words, it looks like just the sort of over-the-top comedy fit for the summer season, as well as a wacko vehicle tailor-made for the crazy contentious rapport shared by the hilarious Middleditch and Miller (who also played the wry sidekick in February’s hit Deadpool.)
Also featuring Alison Brie, J.B. Smoove, Krysten Ritter and Jason Mantzoukas, Search Party arrives in theaters, on demand and digital HD on May 13.
