On Full Frontal With Samantha Bee, Sam headed to Northern Iraq to chat with Kurdish people, who are, surprisingly, big fans of Donald Trump. The Kurds are the largest ethnic group in the world without their own country, and they inhabit parts of Iran, Iraq, Turkey, and Syria. The Kurdish people mostly practice some form of Islam, so it's surprising that they love the US President who has repeatedly attempted to ban Muslims from entering the United States. But many of the Kurdish people in those countries are just happy that Trump is supporting their fight against ISIS. Trump became the first US president to arm the Kurds directly when he authorized the Department of Defense to equip Kurdish elements of the Syrian Democratic Forces to help defeat ISIS.
