Universal, Scott Stuber Team For ‘Bird Box’

Universal Pictures is in negotiations with

Eric Heisserer to adapt the manuscript “Bird Box” which Scott Stuber (pictured) will produce.

“Mama” director

Andy Muschietti will helm. Stuber will produce through his Bluegrass Films along with Chris Morgan and Barbara Muschietti.

Plot details are being kept under wraps.

Universal’s

executive vice president of production Jon Mone and creative exec Jay Polidoro will oversee the project for the studio. Michael Clear will oversee for Bluegrass.

After the studio saw “Mama” overperform at the box office, Universal has been working hard to find Muschietti another project.

Heisserer most recently worked on the Paul Walker pic “Hours.” He is repped by UTA and Art/Work Entertainment.
