UK-Based Good Films Picks Up Rights To Randall Sullivan Exposé ‘LAbyrinth’
Miriam Segal’s Good Films has acquired rights to LAbyrinth, Randall Sullivan’s 2002 book that chronicles detective Russell Poole’s late-1990s investigation into ties between hip-hop, street gangs and the LAPD. The book, whose full title is LAbyrinth: A Detective Investigates The Murders Of Tupac Shakur And Notorious B.I.G., The Implication Of Death Row Records’ Suge Knight, And The Origins Of The Los Angeles Police Scandal, was originally serialized in Rolling Stone. Good Films recently entered a long-term international sales pact with Glen Basner’s FilmNation that will kick off at this week’s European Film Market in Berlin. The company and its packaging and development label, George Films, are working on a slate of films with budgets that range from $10M-$52M. The Infiltrator, with The Lincoln Lawyer‘s Brad Furman attached to direct, goes into production this year.
