EXCLUSIVE: Trish Sie is the frontrunner to helm Step Up 5, the dance franchise that continues to have legs. We thought the film was going to be helmed by Scott Speer, who directed the last installment, but he’s lambada-ed over to Spinback, a John Swetnam spec script action thriller set in the world of electronic dance music. Speer (Step Up Revolution) came attached to direct when Lionsgate/Summit won the auction for the project.
