‘Teen Beach 2′ Ratings Ride Live+3 Wave
Disney Channel said today that the time-shifted ratings are in for its Teen Beach Movie 2, the sequel to its 2013 hit, and that it is the biggest cable TV original movie of 2015 to date. The sequel, which premiered June 26 at 8 PM, was watched by 7.5 million total viewers, 3.2 million kids 6-11 and 2.8 million tweens 9-14 in Live+3 ratings. That also makes it the most-watched TV telecast in nearly 2 years in the youth demos.
In Live+Same Day ratings, Teen Beach Movie 2 drew 5.8 million viewers and 2.5 million in kids 6-11 (10.4 rating) and 2.2 million tweens 9-14 (9.2 rating). In all, 13.3 million total viewers caught the movie including weekend encores.
The movie also streamed on the movie’s WATCH Disney Channel service beginning a week earlier. The network said more it has recorded more than 846,000 views to date.
