Steve Martin Steals Letterman's Top 10 Bit for 'Conan' (Video)

Steve Martin "honored" Conan O'Brien on "Conan" Tuesday night by performing what he called one of the host's longest-running gags: the Top Ten list.

Unfortunately, that's Letterman's bit.

The actor's list was aptly titled, "Top Ten Things Conan Will Say to Ruin This Top Ten List."

Using O'Brien's pleas and retorts to stop the bit as the next item in the countdown, Martin powered through the list with perfect timing.

For instance, No.10 was: "That's Letterman's Bit." No. 9 was: "I'm not kidding, Steve -- Letterman has been doing Top Ten Lists of over 30 years."

After No. 4, a Paul Schafer-impersonator hopped in to join the bit. But No. 2 is the best one -- you'll have to watch the video for that.
