Star Wars 7 Adds Game of Thrones Swordsman
‘Game of Thrones’ actor Miltos Yerolemou seems to have landed a role in ‘Star Wars 7’.
According to BBC reporter Lizo Mzimba, the London-based Greek Cypriot will be heading to the galaxy far, far away.
“Actor Miltos Yerolemou, best known for his role in the first series of fantasy drama Game of Thrones, has joined the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII,” he revealed. “He played expert and athletic swordsman Syrio Forel in Thrones and has taken on several other parts which involve sword fighting during his career.”

Of course, with Yerolemou’s swashbuckling background, it’s not a huge leap to imagine him wielding a lightsaber in the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ sequel. After all, his technical knowledge would be put to good use as either a Jedi or Sith.
But does this mean he’s landed a major role?
“His character in Star Wars is not thought to be a major one,” said Mzimba. And considering the number of minor Jedi we’ve seen throughout the prequel trilogy, perhaps this will give us an idea of how the Force and the old ways of the lightsaber have grown since ‘Return of the Jedi’.
Either way, this is quite a step up for Yerolemou… and it looks as though he’ll be joined by fellow British actor, Jack Robinson.
“Star Wars name of @MiltosYerolemou hints may appear with Jack Robinson, plays barman in AVCO!” said Mzimba via Twitter.
Jack Robinson is perhaps best known for appearin as big Dave Bowers in Greg Davies’s Chennel 4 comedy series, ‘Man Down’. But a quick look at Robinson’s Star Now profile reveals that he’s also landed the role of Barman in a huge film franchise under the guide of ‘AVCO’ – a name already known to be a working title for ‘Star Wars VII’.
And with Han and Chewie back on board the Millennium Falcon, I can’t help wondering which hive of scum and villainy they will find themselves in next.
