Stan Lee Added to Plotagon as Castable Character (EXCLUSIVE)

Stan Lee has agreed to turn himself into a castable character in Plotagon, a software that enables users to create short animated films based on the screenplays they write.

Earlier this month, the comicbook veteran who created Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and other iconic characters, inked a deal with the Swedish startup to produce four new characters for the program through his POW! Entertainment banner.

But now Lee has decided to make himself a fifth character (see above), as part of the deal. All of the characters are offered through the Stan Lee Superhero Pack, a $9.99 add-on.

“I have had great fun creating all my characters and have really enjoyed seeing my fans create their own stories,” Lee said. “Now, through this collaboration with Plotagon, fans can create their own short superhero movies.”

Deal is being announced as Lee’s own version of Comic-Con, Comikaze Expo, takes place in Los Angeles this weekend.

“The new superhero pack featuring Stan Lee is another example of a creative way that POW! Entertainment is developing projects that allow fans around the world to all be a part of the Stan Lee brand experience,” said Gill Champion, president of POW! Entertainment.

Films produced through Plotagon can be exported to the software’s online movie site or shared across various platforms, including YouTube.

An “Alice in Wonderland”-themed add-on is also available, while one for “Pride and Prejudice” will be launched in November.
