Ross Mathews to Host Weekly SiriusXM Show (EXCLUSIVE)

Ross Mathews has landed his own SiriusXM show, Variety has learned exclusively.

Titled “Straight Talk with Ross Mathews,” the hourlong weekly show will premiere Oct. 13 on the subscription satellite radio service. Launching as a limited run, Mathews will host the radio show live from SiriusXM’s Los Angeles Studios.

Inspired by Mathews’ podcast, “Straight Talk with Ross Mathews” is a pop culture and entertainment news radio show, in which the pop culture expert will invite celebrity guests and friends to join in on the discussion, and take calls from listeners who can ask Mathews for advice on any subject, as no topic is off limits.

“No matter who you are, sometimes life can be more confusing than an episode of ‘True Detective’ and you just need a little perspective from someone who cares,” said Mathews. “That’s where I come in. Everyone deserves to have a best friend who gives them some no-nonsense real talk and I serve my ‘Straight Talk’ with a side of LOL’s.”

Known for his signature funny flair and trademark tone of voice, Mathews first garnered attention as Jay Leno’s intern who rose the ranks on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” ultimately making his television debut as a correspondent on the late-night show. Since, he toplined his own weekly entertainment TV show “Hello Ross” on E!, and hosts year-round red carpet coverage for the cable net, in addition to appearing on the “Live From E!” roundtable series. He’s currently a judge on Logo’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and also penned his own life-inspired book “Man Up: Tales of My Delusional Self-Confidence.”

“Straight Talk with Ross Mathews” will air every Tuesday (5:00 p.m. ET) on SiriusXM OutQ channel 106, which is available nationwide on satellite radio, online and on the SiriusXM app.

Mathews is repped by Degenkolb Entertainment and WME.
